Privacy policy

Privacy for OtterPip Medical Illustrations & MediGame, published by Deep Dive Records. This policy covers our website and Android app (tw.ottermedboard.medigame).

Guest access includes Chapter 1 of General pathology, Pediatrics & development, and Endocrinology & metabolism. Other teaching chapters require paid membership. Signing in alone does not unlock paid content.

Information processed by the service

• Account: email address, authentication user ID and session information to sign in and protect your account. A display name, emoji avatar, biography and study profile are optional.
• Learning and community: when signed in, submitted quiz answers and progress can be synchronized to your account. Posts, comments and reactions you choose to submit are stored for community operation and moderation. Profiles or posts you make public can be seen by other users.
• Purchases: where payments are enabled, product ID, purchase token, order reference, purchase status and entitlement dates are used to verify access and handle support. Google Play or the payment provider processes payment details; the app does not collect your card number. Checkout and paid-game activation are not enabled in the current test build.
• Connection: hosting and authentication providers process connection information, such as IP address and technical request logs, to deliver and secure the service. We do not use an advertising SDK or sell personal information.

Information that stays on your device

Private study plans, focus-timer preferences, recall notes, user-created review cards and song favourites in the study room use local device storage. These tools do not upload their contents. This is separate from quiz-answer synchronization for signed-in users. Clearing browser/app storage removes local information.

Permissions and medical information

The Android app uses internet access. It does not request camera, microphone or location permission, or collect patient records, diagnoses, reproductive history or relationship status. Live calls and matchmaking are not enabled.

This app is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.

Service providers and external links

Cloudflare hosts the website, Supabase provides account and database services, and Google Play handles Android distribution and supported in-app purchases. These providers process information needed to perform those services. Knowledge songs may open YouTube or load YouTube video content; their privacy terms apply to that content. Selecting an external link may disclose connection information to its provider.

Security and retention

Service connections use HTTPS. Server-side authorization restricts protected learning content and account records. Public community content remains visible according to your chosen publication settings. We retain account and submitted learning information while needed to operate your account. Necessary transaction and security records may be retained to meet legal obligations, prevent abuse or resolve disputes; retention depends on the applicable record and obligation.

Your choices and deletion

You may use the available guest sections without creating an account. Contact ottermedboard@gmail.com to request access, correction or account deletion. See the account deletion page for the request process and the data covered. Deletion requests are currently handled through support; no automatic-deletion completion is promised by the test build.
